As part of its celebrations for Festival Week, Sale Festival 2024 is running a

Photographic Competition for keen Amateur Photographers on the theme of

“Motion, Movement, and Action”

With a theme like this, the opportunities are vast, and we would love you to enter the competition.

But "Motion, Movement, and Action”, what does it mean ??  Well basically, it's anything that moves or is active.
It could be a person, an animal or bird, an aircraft, a car, flowing water, or anything else you care to think of that epitomises the theme !

Sport typifies "Motion, Movement and Action" and the possibilities are limitless - such as Rugby, Football, swimming, running, a boat race, horse racing etc. All great examples of "Motion, Movement and Action".

Wherever you go in Britain, you’ll find examples of "Motion, Movement and Action" and you won't have to travel far to encounter great shots - and we would love to see them.

Amateur Photographers who would like to enter the competition should submit up to 4 prints to the Security Office in Stanley Square Mall in Sale (address below), to arrive no later than Monday 27th May 2024.

The top 20 winning prints, together with a selection of the runners up will take pride of place in an Exhibition to be mounted in the Hiya Shop (next to Specsavers in the Stanley Square Mall), for the 4 weeks after the competition judging.  So, you can judge your own efforts against the other entrants!

The winner of the Senior Competition will receive a fabulous prize of £100, which will be officially presented to them during Festival Week, with runners up prizes of £50 for second place and £25 for third place.  In addition to the Senior Competition, there is also a Junior Section for Photographers up to 16, the winner of which will receive a prize of £50.
